I don’t know how many of you stop by this little corner of the internet, but I honestly believe God guides those who need these words to find them. He’s the one who nudged me to start this blog, so I leave that part of it in His hands.

As you’ve probably noticed, I’m not the quickest writer. Every study and lesson I share is a labor of love—for our Heavenly Father and for those who visit this blog. Each one take a lot of time in prayer and Scripture, seeking to honor God’s truth. But for a while, things have to slow down even more.

My 75-year-old mom recently took a fall and broke her hip. She’s had surgery for a total hip replacement, and now she’s facing a long road to recovery. It’s a journey where she’ll need extra care and support, and I’ll be there to help her through it.

God’s Word reminds us in James 5:14-15, “Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up…”

So, I’m turning to you, my dear brothers and sisters in Christ, with a humble request: Would you lift her up in prayer? Pray for her healing, her strength, and peace that only God can give.

In John 14:27, Jesus said: “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

That is the peace I’m praying over her–and over all of us who are walking through difficult seasons. May we rest in the peace that only Christ can provide.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. May God bless you and your family.

Grace
